A new year but no new beginning...

By the sound of my title you would think i was unhappy and stuck it a rut but i assure you I'm not, quite the opposite actually. I'm looking forward to this year but not because things are going to change, i don't wish that at all!. I have a wonderful daughter who never fails to make me smile, Her daddy may not be perfect but neither am i and if he changed he wouldn't be the man i fell in love with. my family is close and supportive and i really couldn't think of one thing i would change.
So this year i think im going to wish that nothing changes and that i can say the same next year and the year after :)

Now for days I've been complaining to my partner about the post and how most of the stuff I've ordered for Christmas has not come but this morning i got a lovely surprise as all my parcels came, plus one i didn't know about so imagine my smile when i pulled this from the packet!

This is Izzy's first stocking and i must say i love it! Her great Nannie, the woman who spent many hours teaching me to stitch after my mother laid the foundations, made this for her and may i just say that i have never met anyone faster or as perfect at stitching as my Nannie (although sally does give her a run for her money!)

Sneak Peek!

Well its been quiet around here of late with all Christmas shopping, baby demands and stitching, yes i have managed to fit that in some how!

Here is a little sneak peek at what I've been doing lately whilst neglecting my BF, he shouldn't mind though as it is for him.

I'm hoping to have this finished by the end of next week so i can concentrate on my table runner for Christmas day, we'll see how it works out.

Hexagons

So i must have had a crazy moment last week because i decided that a Christmas table runner made completely from hexagons would look really nice on my table this year! Well I've started but as most of you ,who have done hexagon projects, know its slow progress!

I must admit they are fun and easy to make!

And i am getting somewhere...

Hopefully it will be finished before Christmas but i also have two cross-stitched stockings on the go as well so we'll see.

So...... i know i haven't been around lately but i have one beautiful little reason for that named izzy :)

But i haven't given up sewing altogether, just have to limit it to a night time, and in all the washing and tidying I've to do and that makes for slow progress!

However i am glad to announce that the bunting for little madams room is finished!

Its a peter rabbit themed room and believe me some of the things i want for her room have been hard to find! like I'm still looking for a light shade!

So I'm not the best blogger in the world but its been kinda hard these past couple of weeks as i have found it quite hard not to spend every moment looking at our daughter! Ray has been great, i couldn't have asked for a better partner and father for Isabelle. I hope he knows how grateful i am and how much i love him.

Its unbelievable how much they change in so little time.

After only four years of struggling to see on this 18 count aida i have finally finished the alphabet bumble bee sampler.....

I think this has something to do with the fact that there is a little one on the way and if it pops out a girl then this will be ideal for the nursery if its a boy then at least i have something put away for the next one :) although that wont be for some time!

Well hello there! Its been a very long time since i've posted here and let me just say that i've missed it :).

I've been keeping up with the blogs i read, i just haven't had the motivation to do much crafting over the last year or so. However that has changed because i am going to be mum and the ideas have been coming in by the boat load. Blankets, bumpers, nappy bags, toys and i might even try making some clothing!

But first i thought i'd finish the projects i already had on the go, like the pooh bear blankets i started for rays niece and nephew.....

This is the quilt top, just waiting for the wadding to come and it will be complete!

My baby boy! He's noisy, tiring, demanding, never stops crying and yet he's everything i wanted....

We named him BOLT, Don't ask me why his daddy liked the name so i said OK because we'd already been though 100 others, plus the other hundred we went through trying to figure out a name for his sister, who has a new home with my BF's dad. We were actually looking for a border collie for his dads 50Th birthday prezzie but i fell i love with this little guy so ray bought me him!

His sister is named bonnie after about a week and a half of having no name and being called puppy! no pictures of her as yet, because she never sits still!

Bolt, on the other hand seems to sleep more than anything else! I swear he actually believes he's a baby! We've had him two weeks now and he's already learnt where he can and can not pee, and so stop and the road side when told! lol (can you tell that he has taken over my life?)

However there is one bonus to a dog that likes to sleep during the day, just not at night, i get some time to stitch between the walks, toilet runs and general amusement! lol

This is sleepy pooh bear and piglet all done and dusted, now i just have to find the perfect fabric to go with it. I like the star print with it but I'm not sure.

And one last pic just because its cute and its one of my two favourite guys lol. i don't know who is the biggest softie!

I haven't been up to much lately mostly just working and trying my hardest to get rid of this bleeding cold! I'm just sick of it now lol! In between working and sleeping i have done a little stitching on a new project for my BF's niece and nephew.
Two blankets one blue, one pink and knowing how long it takes me to get myself in gear im going to make these big enough for toddlers even though their currently only 6 months old lol.

I Know, I Know, Im late but do have a good reason one very cute little baby girl pulled a few of my laptop keyboard keys off and i've had to have it fixed lol.
I would like to say that both steph and linda will receive a gift for taking part in my "tell me why" lol thank you ladies i loved what you both wrote!

Linda: One of the many reasons I love my children(even though they are going through the teen years! LOL) is because of what they have taught me! They have taught me unconditional love! They have taught me the power of words! They have taught me the power of actions! They have taught me it is okay to be ME! They have taught me how far my patience can go! They have taught me to laugh till I cried or wet my pants! They have taught me to K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid!). They have taught me too see the world through their eyes! THey have taught me what it really means to be happy! They have taught me that it's okay I am crazy! They have taught me to live! They have taught me... More than I could ever thank them for!!Thank you... I needed that reminder! :).

Steph:Because my Mom is selfless and there's no other love like hers. My Dad because he's such a free spirit and is what every man should strive to become. My sisters because they are my very Best friends. My In-laws because I could not have married into a better family. My Husband because we have nothing in common, are complete opposites, but love each other like we are the only two in the planet. As you see, I am very blessed.

This one is Ambiance Chinoise from Royal Paris, I got this for £20 and i really love this one!!

OK so I've been like the worst blogger in the world but i promise I'm going to make it up to you

all. I wanna know why you love a certain person in your life, it can be anyone, mother, daughter, son, Nana, husband, partner, girlfriend, boyfriend, dad, sister, brother or friend. I'll start by telling you why i love....well....my hole family, its mostly because their dysfunctional, crazy and all we do day in day out is wind each other up. its are way of showing just how much we love each other. Secondly i love my Darling BF because he get this and fits in so well with are existence there is not one thing a would change about both my family and my boyfriend, not one! although if i could get them to surprise me with chocolate more often that would be a nice change :D hehe

Several things that i love about cross stitch

*I love the excited feeling you get when you first start a new piece.

*Watching a design come to life on the fabric

*The endless possibilities for a finished cross stitch

*Being able to alter the design to put a little more you in it

*The different colours and textures

*Finishing a design and knowing that every minute you've put into it was worth it!

Good evening, now before you all yet the impression that all I've been doing lately is staring at yummy men on the net, i thought id show you what I've really been up to! This is the quilt that my youngest sister Hollie asked me to make for her. This quilt is responsible for the depletion of my stash and my time but i don't mind because my sister seems to be happy with it!
It took me forever to measure and cut these squares out as i don't own a rotary cutter, the stitching shouldn't take to long and I'll start that tomorrow after i run my grandmothers massages
And this is the new hot man, chosen by sally to be contestant number three, Zachary Quinto from heroes! I'm liking the ruff look its very appealing (giggles) :D

Mostly this week I've been stitching Christmas cards and believe it or not i actually finished my Christmas blankie of which i will post pic next time! :D

This one was stitched by younger sister Chel and both pics were taken by my youngest sister Hollie, both of them have decided that I'm sleeping in their room on the floor on Christmas eve as we used to share a room when we were younger :D i guess i have no say in the matter

OK so I'm really happy because my cards sold, i had my doubts! but they sold so.....Yeahy! I've started a new set to put out in the shop but haven't gotten to far et so nothing to show you guys other than the chocolate cake i baked tonight, recipe from my nan in london :)

God i didn't even realise that this year is almost over and yet i feel like i've done nothing! :( Oh well new year new start! :)

Well other than changing my blog layout again! studying, applying for uni and working, i havent really been upto much. Mostly just been coming home from work and going to my room to do one of the above :) but i have managed to fit in some stitching as im allowed to sell my christmas cards in the shop :) i wonder if i'll sell any?

These are two that i've just finished and need to be made into cards. The one on the left felt like it took forever to stitch but i got there in the end and im glad i did because its so cute!

ok so as im writting this post outside there is a massive down fall of hail stones... i think winter has finally set in! The only bad news about this seeing as i love winter is that i walk to work on a morning and it takes me 45 minutes to get there so im guessing that im going to have to do some serious shopping and stock up on wooly jumpers and wool tights to keep myself warm! lol :)

Ok so this is going to be my halloween post as i wont have time to post tomorrow. Im planning to watch horror movies with a friend and stuff my face with sweets and toffee apples! Yummy! I hope you all have a great halloween and i would love to know what you all have planned?

Also despite having an eye infection this week and feeling like every time i blink my eyes are being cut with glass i have managed to get some more stitching done on 'the first day of spring' by sarah kay and i have found that i acctually have my stitching drive back! how good is my timing! hehe (if you ever get an eye infevtion i found that if you sit in a car with the heating on and the air vents pointing at your face it really helps the scratching feeling and stops them hurting as much! just a little bit of positive in my rant lol)

...Where did you come from? :)

I wondered why it was so cold at the caravan last weekend! Well now i know, apparently we have entered October with out my knowing it.OK so this post is mostly just to show you what two 18 year old girls (plus two) get up to when we get a caravan to ourselves for the weekend!

We get really, really, really silly and decided to go in the sea, which is freezing and get funny looks off the people all rapped up and warm walking past! He he i never said i was sane! (please note that while doing this the guy pictured below sat on the beach being a wimp!)

Amy and Gazz got to spend some time together which was nice because they both work a lot! Gazz got all excited seeing her!

Haribo decided to play dress up for the camera!

oh yeah and Amy totally rocked the wet and freezing look! lol:) not showing the pic of me seeing as it was just awful!

In all a totally cool weekend!

This little distraction is inspired by a comment i got of Rosie from Hope Holistics, she was reading through my blog and got distracted by last years MR Christmas contest :) some of you will remember that (and yes there will be another one this year, more on that at a later date).

Ok distraction over.....................................................................now, lol i would like to thank Ginnie, Rosie, Laura, sally and Glenna for your good luck wishes for my interview that was last weekend, however i did not get the job which to my surprise i am happy about because i don't think that i was ready to move so far away from home and leave behind my family and friends and most of all my guinnie pig skittles :). it was a good weekend and i made some memorable friends. I also learned that when your starving after two days of eating nearly nothing haribo's are like heaven :) lol!

I'm not sure which of these is better Sweets or man Candy.................Choices!

Wales Here I Come!

I knew there was something i had to do! lol

sorry for the long pause, its just i haven't really had that much time to post or even stitch for that matter!. I've been helping my friend move homes, getting ready for my trip to wales (more about that in a minute) and generally freaking out! It feels like I've lost a week somewhere along the line but cant think how! Oh well there is nothing i can do about it now;)
Right first of all I'll explain the trip to wales, its for a job interview and it last all weekend from the 12th till the 14th, i have to travel all the way to wales for the interview and them on the Sunday I'll find out if i get the job! if i do i say for an extra weeks training and then i come home to collect my stuff ready to move to which ever center i get placed in. The job will be an activities instructor with a firm called kingswood, where we do everything from climbing to archery with kids. I've been waiting nearly a hole year to apply for this and am totally excited from the weekend! My bag is already packed! :)

OK secondly i have managed a little stitching on a new Christmas project...

This is a Sarah Kay design, Ive been wanting to stitch one of her designs for a while now and i decided that because i have recently finished one cross-stitch project i had room for a new one! :) plus i couldn't resist! hehee. I hope i have enough free time to finish Christmas projects if i get this new job!

Well as most of you know its only four whole months away from Christmas and if your anything like me you'll have a list a mile long of the things you wanna make for it, so what better time to get started than now :)

These are just a few bits I've been playing with, the two above are going to be Christmas cards and this below is either going to be a blanket or a wall hanging i haven't decide which yet :)

Also this week i turned 18 which was quite fun :) i didn't do anything major just hung out with my family and got some really great presents :) Including my Super Junior album that arrived just after!

I was so happy when this came though the post from Korea :) yeahy! I also got this really cute money box and snow globe from the Beatrix potter collection, and lots of other gifts too!

I fell in love with this the moment i saw it :)

I can breath again :)

Hey everyone thank you so much for all your kind wishes :) I got my results for my A-Levels on Tuesday, and after refusing to open them at first, i found that i passed all four in classics, history, religion and general studies :) I'm really pleased and i thank you all again for wishing me well :D

Now i know i promised something crafty in this post but i can show you what I've been up to just yet as my mum might see it and then it would be ruined. As soon as its done and given to her I'll finally let you see what I've been doing other than reading :D

Freaking Out Just a Little

*EDIT--- Ok the title to this should now be totally and completely freaking out now, god i feel so sick this worse than the GCSE result wait two years ago! Good luck every one and if you would like join me in prays tonight lol*

After spending a really great week in Blackpool with my family, a trip that i had planed to miss until 10 minutes before they left on Saturday morning. I'm now safely back at home biting my finger nails, pulling my hair out and maybe getting just over 3 hours sleep due to being completely freaked about getting my a-level results in four days time! This is it the moment of truth and i really don't want to open that envelope on Thursday, maybe I'll just leave it closed for the rest of time :) But then the not knowing would kill me.

Now as i said before i had an unexpected trip to Blackpool this week, which for the most part was really quite fun! i took over 190 pictures of are trip but the really memorable part of the trip proved to risky for my camera! With two days left in Blackpool and it raining out we were all having a game of cards while my mum made tea, after winding my mum up about her cooking skill just for the fun of it she got her own back by egging me while i was playing. Now I'm not a passive person so for the rest of the week it was a case of every man or should i say woman for her self, there were about a dozen eggs smashed a hundred water balloons thrown, a tub of washing up liquid and hair moose fired at each other and the occasional bucket a water Tipped over heads! No one was safe and even now I'm waiting for her to get her own back!

I'll be back with more on the crafty side of life later this week but until then i would just like to say thank you to all of you who read my sometimes very random blog and leave such kind comments its really nice to read them all! And also good luck to all the other students waiting for their results this Thursday, sally wish Jess good luck from me too, i have no doubt that she will do great!

Ok i should be ashamed of my self because i've done almost no stitching or knitting as i've been researching life in a foreign country, namely through this blog. Morry is funny, insightful and really a great read! I've been readying through her archives of her life in japan and have loved every post!

I have however made a little progress on this!

The black and grey felt like it was never going to be complete and it still is'nt i've got the whole of the top to do and the bottom right hand coner to do as well! But i love it because it means that with all the grey the lady is going to stick out even more!

Seven Years of Friendship and a 21st Birthday

Last wednesday it was my best friends 21st birthday, we've been friends for almost seven years and its scary because we know each others thoughts and have been known at times to finish each others sentences!

For her birthday we thought of going bowling and then came up with 100 other ideas only to go back to bowling in the end, and im glad we did because it was by far one of the best nights i've had in a long time!

These are three of the best pictures taken all night, there are alot more because we had two camara's :)

This is amy, very funny and very lovable....... she helped me in teasing zoe alnight which was quite fun! :)

And this ladies is the Birthday girl, who we would not allow to have her birthday presents untill she got a strike or spare! Lol me and amy both got one before she did, but she got there in the end and it was quite funny!

And lastly the one pic of me that i did not delete because it was half decent and i had to keep at least one! The highlight of the night was when a staff member gave zoe some balloons :) so very cute and funny!

P.S. I swear that those bottles of alchol in the background are not ours :).

wow, I never thought id get here but i have and its really quite amazing, I've have finally posted 100 posts including this one :) Although many of my older posts are out of order due to picture editing and some have been deleted completely from this blog this still counts as my 100th published post!

Now i know its very popular to hold a give away on the 100th post but I'm not, and the reason for this Will become clear in a couple of posts time so you'll just have to wait and see :P

I do have one thing that makes this post memorable to me and that is the completion of this....

Ladies and, well ladies, i give you the complete Christmas angles for the last time. i finished the back stitching just before i wrote this post and like many of you stitchers out there i hate back stitch. i actually fell asleep one evening doing it! but its all done now and that means i can start a new Christmas piece! yeah, i wonder what I'll do? Any suggestions?

Ok so i have'nt got anything crafty to show you as what i've been upto the last couple of weeks is a suprise for my 100th post which will be the post after this one :D, i cant believe i've writen 99 posts and am still addicted to this place :).

I thought i would show you all some future projects that i am planning to take on when i've finished some of the ones that i already have going!

I found these two books in the liberury and just fell in love with some of the patterns in them!

This is a japanese inspired pattern that i want to do for my bedroom wall, the pattern is different and very pretty and appealed to my deep interest in asian culture :)

And these are just some of the socks from this book that i want to make but first i have to learn how to knit with three needles :) which i think is going to be very interesting, fun and at times frustrating

I not completely finished and ready for my hunderth post suprise so it might be a few more weeks before its done :) till then bye!

First let me just say... Thank you, thank you, thank you and thank you stephanie i loved every thing you sent to me its all great!

The quilting bee, a kit, chloe and louise stitchette is so cute and i cant wait to start it!
The Embroidery stitching tool and glue look like their going to be very interesting in figuring out how to use them! :)
And i really love the colours in the threads you sent, they are going to go to good use on some of the projects i have planned!!
Thank you again steph you have just given me alot of things to do during the summer break and i cant wait to get started. I've been a bad stitcher and started a new project before finishing the angels fully. I could'nt help it, the one im now doing, i put of for monthes and it's been calling to me all this time so i started it and i dont feel the least bit guilty :)

I'm not going to tell you what it is only that it came from crossstitcher and its beautiful! If you'd like to guess what it is then go ahead it could be fun and you never know you could get it right on your first try! :)

To make are last day in college memorable we all decided to go out on to the field during our free periods and play twister, trying to fly a kite and just some general messing around!

The games of twister were quite fun but the kite did really wanna play lol

We finally got it up in the end but i don't have a pic to prove it so you'll have to take my word on it XD.

After finally being finished with all the revision and exams I've had time to nearly complete the Christmas angels project that has taken me a century to do lol

All that needs doing now is the back stitching and then its done! yeahy

What's your favourite colour? do you have one, two or just colour in general? Well mine is every colour imaginable because i love to look at busy, active colours like my new trainers!

I love these babies, i never get board with Babycham because their just so cool and these only cost £20 which is not bad at all! I can't wait to wear them lol

I've been starved of colour for the last two or three weeks because I'm a black and white note's revision type of girl so i also bought these as a small remainder of what colour looks like! lol.
OK ladies if you haven't looked on eBay at the deals you can get on DMC threads then your crazy because i got these for 25p each and the seller has every colour and always has them in stock so go, look, spend and enjoy the fact that you haven't broken the bank in doing so (something students are good at is finding cheap deals) lol :p

A Little Break

After five hours of revision yestarday i decided to take a break and finish some knitting just to give my head a rest lol.

I think this is my favorite pattern of all the ones i've stitched as it's not to boring and the bell pattern along the egde is so adorable! I've still got the arms and back to do and this is a nice project to use as a revision break as it does not require messing up my room to find all the bits i need.

When it's finished and if i think it look nice enough then i will hold a give away for it.

Have you ever noticed that no matter how good a picture is of yourself you cant help but be critical of the way you look, well i did the other night while i was at my best freinds. We decided that she needed some new pics for MySpace so we spent the night taking pics of her in total about 50. After we were done she got the camara and took a few of me(4) but i deleted them because i didn't like them lol!

This one i love because it shows her fun, cheeky side And the one below i love because it shows just how pretty she is!

Zoe is without a doubt my favourite model because she feels natural posing lol which helps alot with improving my pics!

Something New

I thought I'd start something new as I've become board of stitching so I've picked up my knitting to help my mum with an order from work.

This is the beginnings of a baby cardigan from a SIRDAR pattern in double knit, it took four tries to get this pattern right and i almost gave up but I'm glad to say i stuck to it and its coming

along lovely.

We have had some weird weather lately one minute its raining hard enough to break windows and the next its sunny and theirs not a cloud in the sky strange and really awkward when you wanna go shopping but are afraid of getting caught in the rain lol. Hope the rest of you have nice weather lol

Last week was a bit slow as i had a tone of homework to hand in so i didn't get much stitching, reading or sewing done! But i did get my coursework results which have put me in a brill mood that with last a least a week as i got two B's yeahy!.

However i did manage to get some stitching done on the christmas angel's not much but some...

... i only have a little left to do then i can start something new as im only allowed to have three cross stitches going at once (new rule i set for my self!)

I had a great time in london hanging out with my family, i only problem was that i forgot to take my camera so i could take any pic's which is really sad because i got to go to the natural history museum and i saw the dimond that Albert had recut for Queen Victoria and the arora dimond collection that glows in the dark. We also went to the Victoria and Albert museum, there was alot that i would risk going to prison for.lol

I did make some progress on the stitching im doing at the minute, the unicorn is comming along nicely and the baby bee's, well thats making slow progress.

These two are really lovely pattern's but they really do give you a head ache!

Back In Two

A freind at colege drew some cartoon characters for me a few weeks ago, which started off an idea in my head(these are sometimes lethal lol). i like these drawing so much that i have decided to try and embroid them. The first one she drew was prince charming (who i must say looks a little too full of himself lol)

This one i am doing in grey with sparkly blue eyes and gold crown to see how he looks in stitches. Then im going to do the damsel in destress who Steph created to go with him!

I'm off to london for two weeks tomorrow and unfortunatly i cant take my computer which means i cant post for the two weeks!. But i promise to post as soon as i get back:).

Best Day Ever!

Well today has to be the best day so far this year, why? you ask.There are three reasons
1) Is because of the beautiful gift i recived from sally, which i found waiting for me when i got home from college.

This is my first stitched gift from a fellow blogger and i really love it, the design is really cute and i love the colours sally used, it's prefect for my machine bobbins, threads and needles. I alos recived some hand dyed floss. Thank you so much sally it is now sitting next to my sewing machine holding all my little bits and bobs!

2) Also when i came home i found three bags of new clothes from my mummy and new shoes all for my trip to london next week!

3)the wether was quite nice today after weeks a bad weather!lol

Boiling Over..

This week i've only been able to do a little stitching due to the installing of a new boiler in my sisters room. It means that we have a constent supply of hot water which sounds great for a house with four women in it but the down side is i can not get to all of my stuff at the minute!

My mum went out tonight so me and my sister thought we'd make her kitchen and her dogs victim to are cooking lol.

We took a trip to ASDA and spent £10 on cooking supplies!

We made cookie dough (Question: do americans eat this stuff or is it something differnt? would love to know so if you could clear this up for me i'd be greatful)

I was getting bord of stitching light summery designs so i thought id start some christmas stitching early as i want to stich quite alot for christmas this year so i thought it would relieve some of the presure that i experince as christmas closes in lol. This is an angel design that i've been wanting to do for a while but have never gotten round to.

Secondly is the summer stitching i told you im gettin bord of this is one of another three i've stitched to make into coin purses the pattern still needs some work but its getting there!

I'm a very happy chappy this week lol because i have just been given a B in my alexander the great coursework. this is the highest grade i've gotten this year meaning all those late nights payed off!

Now that thats finished i have had some time to do some sewing so i thought i'd do some stitching from a victorian pattern

i only did a small one, so that i could see whether i like it or not, but i do so im going to stitch a few more and make them into little purses like this one...

this is just a tester and their are still a few changes to be made but i like it, its cute and colourful lol!

Crazy.....

Hi there, is it march already? WOW i dare not blink incase the years over when i open my eyes! lol. Well i hope you all had a great feb, i spent most of it locked in my room reading. In one week i've read four books, i think i maybe a little obsessed with this hole 101 books challenge (but love reading so much that i cant help it).

I have also gotten some stitching done on the unicorn and found an idea in my head for the little fairy i stitched before.

This little cutie is going to be a shoulder bag when i figure out all the mechanics to it lol. Im thinking that a light yellow inside will go nicely with the pink on the outside. What do you think?

More stitching

It's half term here in england and that means i have a hole week to sleep late, work, stitch and have some fun like the sleep over my sisters having on friday for her birthday. What could be more fun than seven 13 year olds, a 15 yearold and me lol (and cake).

So far i've finished one classics essay, done some stitching and read 136 pages of my new book 'The dead of Summer' by camilla way. The book has just started getting creepy and the stitching is starting to look like its meant to! lol

This is the unicorn my mum started a few years ago its quite hard to do it for more than a hour as its on black and its about five different shades of grey so it tends to give me a headache if i look at it too long!

I finished the fairy i started last week but still have not decided what to do with it lol.

And lastly is the progress i've made on the baby bee sampler i've just finished the J and im now on the P. I only have 16 letters left to go and then it's done!

Stitching At Last

I have finished all my exams and i am now aloud to stitch again yeahy!. So my first cross stitching aim of 2008 is to finish my baby bee pattern im quite far along with this one but still have a way to go!

As i've said before i dont think im going to be able to part with this one as its just to adorable and colourful.

Also this week has been my best in months because i got questions in my Religious studies exam that i revised for and could answer and my Melly and Me pattern arrived. This is the first pattern for a softie i've ever bought and i cant wait to have a go at making it !!

... i know i've posted countless pics of tatty but i swear this is his last vist to my blog, i just thought that seen as you have all seen him grow from crosses to a teddy bear you should also get to see him completely finished as a christmas present.

It took an awfully long time to get the border straight and neat but after a few tries i managed

i,ve used two different fabrics, underneath is soild red marble and the top is red silk net with gold stars.

Then came the ribbon that i stitched around the outside now that was the real pain but was totally worth it when i saw my mums face on christmas day.

That Was Quick

Christmas has come and gone already, wow!

Well I have decided to go back in time and become 13 again ! "Why?, you ask their so much you can do at 17 that you cant at 13" well yes that maybe true but there is so much i could do when i was 13 that seems to babyish at 17 lol Like going to see santa in the town centre and not getting funny looks and also being able to take my one, three and five year old cousins to see him to without beening asked if their mine and getting funny looks of the sales people in the shops when i take them for sweets afterwards (really like i look old enough to have three kids, where do these poeple get thier ideas lol) and last but not least when i wake up on christmas eve at 13 it actually feels like christmas not just another day :(. So there you have it i am now 13 again lol

So did you all have a nice christmas? i did the best part of the day was when my youngist sister opened her present and said "Wow it's really nice, What is it?" but i will let her off because she the stero typical blond of teen flicks e.g. REALLY DUMB (i get away with saying this because im her big sis and im always right, ok not always lol)

Anyway this is what i made her....

Its a draw string book bag because just like me she loves to read (so she cant be that dumb really lol) she also got a couple of Roald dahl books to go with it.

for the front i used the mice i stitch a couple of months ago, it took a while to figer out how to make this but with the help of all you bloggers on my blogroll i finally managed so thank you all.

For my older younger sister chel i made her this water bottle cover as she suffers from painful stomach upsets so thought it would come in handy.

the only problem with it is that when i was stitching the outside with the sewing machine the fabric got caught and this happend, but she didn't mind thank god lol

I am happy to tell you all that i finally finished my alexander the great coursework at 1.30am last night and handed it in to day. let me just say what a relief it was now i can stitch the rest of my christmas prezzies without feeling guilty lol.

My mum walked into my room last night to find me blasting my chemical romance at full volume, sicking this to my bedroom wall with blu tack and the first thing she asked was "have you finally gone crazy dear" my reply was that this helps me to see how many more flowers i need before it will fit my bed. she just laughedat me and walk out lol, ok so maybe i am a little crazy but thats good, right?

Anyway so far this has taken me nearly five month and it isn't even completly sewn together

but it is getting there. Have a nice weekend lol

It Snowed!!!!

It snowed on friday while i was on the bus to college, i was just sitting at the back of the bus reading 'Every Boy's Got One' by Meg Cabot when i looked up it was snowing, it was so lovely to see snow after all the rain we've had lol.

This weekend was taken up by christmas prezzies, i have nearly finished hollie's strawberry nice book bag and mums tatty teddy bear pillow is also nearly done i just need to buy some more red cotton to finish it. I have also started making a pair of arm warmers because as you can see its getting rather cold here in england lol

im not sure about the colour but they keep me warm as the wool is very thick i think it feather(but i could be wrong lol).

Finishing

Ok so i was going through my room the other day and found a mountin of projects i never finished that i had hidden while my room was being decorated (i should be ashamed). so i used the hole weekend to sort out my room to make sure there were no other little projects playing hide and seek (there were no others thank god lol) and to finish of the ones i found.

The first one is a winne the pooh pillow cover

that i have backed in red fur for chelsea for christmas.

I also found a unicorn cross stitch that have to take some pics of for next time.

Also i finished the green sparkly scarf for the cold mornings that have arrived and will be here untill next year lol but i think my lion bag has taken a liking to it !

Pins Or Needles ?

I have finished the cross stitch for my pinkeep/needle book havent decided which one i want it to be yet. I really love this design its so pretty and yet simple.

My new camara came this morning the only problem is that i'm not allowed it till christmas so i'm hoping that these next five weeks wont take to long to pass lol. I have spent a fortune on supplies for christmas presents this year so its a good thing my EMA was raised to £30 lol. How's everyone elses christmas shopping going?

Needles

Ok yesterday so i was about to start knitting a new scarf for my sister hollie for christmas when i foung that my 4mm knitting needles were nowhere to be found, i looked everywere and they had just vanished. later last night i was going through my clothes draws and i found them in with my jeans, i have no idea how they got their and it really bugs me......

....so today i nicked two pringles tubes from my sisters room (i asked first) and made these....

they took about five minutes to make useing scrapbook paper and sticky ribbon. They are to keep my needles from wandering and hinding from me when i need them (i never did like hind and seek lol).

i must admit they look rather snazzy on my windowsill lol have a nice week.

It has been a very long busy week and i dont think its going to get shorter just yet, i have a mountin of work to do so i dare say i'll be up till the morning getting it all finished, if i'd known that this is what i signed up for when i applied for sixth form i might have had a change of heart....not really it will be worth it in the end (i just have to keep telling my self that lol)

I just took this time out to refreash my eyes from the works of henry kamen (very long book on the spanish inquisition).

other than working when i've found a secong i've been adding some stitches to these

the one on the left is the baby bee alphabet i heve only done nine letters uptill now, the one on the right is a little bowpeep pinkeep (my first pinkeep) and the one at the bottom is going to be a needle case for my sister (as you can see i like stitching bee's mostly because these one's cant sting me !)

I have spent this week making a very grovey pair of mittens (if i do say so my self lol) for the coming winter, it took me a couple of tries to get the pattern right but i got it in the end. The only problem is that their a little to big ! never mind.

hope every one in englands preparing for a very cold winter, with scarfs, gloves and hats lol, its so cold on a morning waiting for the bus to college.

I hope your all having a fun day to day lol i love hallowen mostly because i cant wait to have children of my own to dress up and throw a party for but untill then my sisters will have to do ! i couldn't take any pics of them as i have broken my camara somehow. Anyway my oldest younger sister is wearing my long sleved corset and pink punk skirt and my youngest is wearing her own clothes as she is to small to wear mine lol. They looked rather grovey as modern witches (i think their trying to tell me something about the way i dress!). Tonight i will be spending my time watching the nightmare on elm street collection and knitting a new pair of arm warmers to go with my nearly finished scarf.

Dark nights are the reason i love winter that and it makes the hole season Christmasie and love it when it snows during the night it make it look so beautiful lol speaking of Christmas i bought so lovely fabric in Durham the other day for my xmas blankie

there's red xmas trees, green xmas trees, xmas wildlife, red christmas greetings, blue snowflakes and red with gold stars and the black with sparky stars and moons i bought to put away in case i find some thing to go with it coz i fell in love with it lol

And introducing tatty... he is finally finished and i hope mum will love him when i put him on the front of a photo album for her Christmas prezzie lol he took me nearly a year as i kept getting board with his outline but as they say better late than never! lol

.....well in stitching time away, i have as you have all seen already started stitching for christmas. the sooner you start the sooner you finish then i always have time to check to see if i've missed anything.
The first patch of my christmas blankie is nearly done but i need some help from you quilters out there, i was wondering if i should boarder each patch with christmas ribbon or only do a couple in ribbon and couple without ?

My good god it going to winter soon and you can tell that from the weather up here its really getting cold on a morning baring in mind that leave the house at seven every morning lol so thats why i thought id knit this.....

Its a nice green sparkly scarf it really realy soft only problem is im running out of wool and it £2 a ball so i have to wait till tomorrow for my EMA lol
The christmas cards are coming long great we've finished four and i'll post the pics soon.

Dont worry i havent done a runner i just havent had much to post lately with college work and all it gets on top of you sometimes and you forget there are other things besides working.

I love the internet its the best thing after chocolate lol, its an easy way to make friends that live half way round the world the only thing thats bad about it other than the dangers of making friends online is that when your 100 persent sure the person you think your talking to is who you believe he or she is you can only ever talk to them online....... never mind that will just have to do.

I havent done much stitching because im back at college on monday so im making sure all my work is done but i have had time to come up with some ideas for xmas presents that i will share with you when i've sketched their patterns.

most of the patterns will inclued cross stitched peices two i have my eye on are the tatty teddy and the somebunny on the frount of these mags, all i need is the threads and i can get started lol.

Sorry, i've a bad habbit of negleting this blog at the moment but i do have a good reason, im redoing my bedroom because im totally sick of how it looks right now and i spend a lot of time in it sewing so i thought it was time for a change!

So because my bedroom is like a war zone i've mostly been knitting. Its all baby stuff but not actualy for a baby it's just, its small enough for me not to get board or stuck!

My favourite out of all of them is the orange jumper, because it was fun to knitt and its my firts jumper!

I think that my bedroom needs cleaning dont you, this is almost everything carfty i own and i have no-where to put it all as my bedroom is the size of a match box lol.

Its a good thing my mum wont dare go in my bedroom as she says that she would be tempting fate if she did lol.

I havent done much stitching this week as i've been working on homework.

I haven't done much stitching in these last two days but i have started a race with my sister to see who can finish a latch rug first and so far where at the same point i don't have pic of Chel's rug but I'll get one for the next post as she has took it to are aunties for the week end and gets back later today.

The pattern is rather large as it also has Winnie the pooh and piglet, its going to take a long time to finish.
